This program focuses on helping managers at every level understand their organization’s business model and challenge it with a newly designed version.

Overview

This immersive and highly experiential program is taught by a unique faculty: an academic, a consultant, and an executive. At its heart, the program provides a toolkit for how to design an operating model for any organization. This toolkit has been developed over many years in collaboration with many practitioners in this field as well as with case examples for many global organizations published in the book Operating Model Canvas (authors Andrew Campbell, Mikel Guttierrez and Mark Lancelott) in 2017. You'll receive everything you need to design an operating model including detailed take-home materials, in-depth case studies, and one-on-one sessions with faculty. At the end of the program, you'll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to design a high-level operating model, as well as detailed 10-page, 20-page and 100-page design documents.

To ensure every participant gets the absolute most out of their chosen program, we incorporate experiential learning experiences where possible, providing learners with case studies and simulations to help contextualize and enable putting the course content into practice after the program has finished.
Follow-up assessments are offered and there is a 2-hour application webinar to support participants with the application of learning which occurs 6 to 8 weeks after the end of the program. We also offer 30 minute 1-to-1s either as part of the program or as follow-up sessions shortly after completion of the live session. Where more than 1 participant attends from an organization we often provide 1-hour customized group sessions instead. There are around 6 required papers to read before starting the program which provide the academic theory and best practice behind the key frameworks and models used in the program. Participants also need to read the three case studies we use before attending. In total, prework should take 2 hours and is available through Leadership Live. Participants are also given a copy of the book “operating model canvas” as a resource to accompany the program.
Before each program begins, we ask participants to complete some self-assessments to identify growth areas and track progress throughout the course. After the course is completed, participants will have access to all of Leadership Live's courses, webinars, live sessions and assessments for 6 months as part of the program.
