Leading Culture Change
This experiential program expands leaders’ capabilities in times of transformation and teaches them techniques and approaches to improve how employees buy into complex organizational change.
Overview
Leading Culture Change will give participants the tools to plan and execute large-scale transformation initiatives and the confidence to communicate with employees in times of change. Leaders will learn how to manage complex communication needs for a diverse, global, and distributed workforce.
Learning through experience
The full-day simulation involves participants taking on a senior leadership role in organizations undergoing serious challenges. Participants will actively experience how employees’ perceptions of the content and context of the change, and their emotional responses to them, form part of the process of change. They will experience creating employee buy-in, ensuring a safe space for dialogue, and building a renewed sense of belonging.
Key lessons learned
The program is structured around the key lessons as defined by leaders who have lived through a culture transformation. Some of these include: Fostering dialogue Dealing with a range of negative emotions Making employees feel valued, heard and safe during change In addition, leaders benefit from the network of support and challenge established by the facilitated Peer Group Action Learning Sets that forms part of this program.
Our 180-degree leadership view
Hult EF’s proprietary Leading Cultural Transformation (LCT) survey provides a 180-degree view of leadership skills – how leaders perceive their skills and how these skills are perceived by their direct reports. The results are invaluable when it comes to evaluating a leader’s effectiveness in times of organizational change and showing them where opportunities for development exist so they can successfully guide their team through transformation.
