Personal Leadership & Team Development
Performance Through People
This program teaches new leaders how to harness their own strengths to bring out the best in each team member and as a result, boost performance as a whole.
Throughout the program, you will not only learn what they can do differently to lead with impact, but what unique skills or traits you can use to effectively guide a team or project to success. Through simulations with actors, case studies, and peer-feedback rounds, you will experience lessons in coaching others, cultivating a spirit of commitment and engagement, establishing effective communication and alignment practices, and understanding the impact of change. At the end of the program, you will work on an action plan that will help you to use what you have learned.
More about the program
The findings about leadership and team outcomes for the skippers and crew from the Clipper Race are closer to work than sport, as importantly, people are there for different reasons – for many it is not all about being first past the post! The story this scenario tells is about making the best of the team even when individuals are not personally selected and team members can often change. This exclusive research is combined with simulations conducted with trained actors to provide leaders with immersive, real-world experiences in overcoming leadership challenges.

Who is it for?
Participants new to managing a team after moving from a functional or expert role. Participants may also have some experience managing a team but are unsure how to further enhance the performance of their direct reports.
For participants with complex schedules and frequent commitments, the self-paced approach helps them navigate a full calendar and put the Open Program learnings first when it works best. This style helps participants avoid going through t he motions of the course and instead focus on learning when they have the capacity to do so.
The face-to-face part of our Open Programs is delivered around the globe: in Dubai, Italy, London, or, most often, on our campus at the magnificent Ashridge House. At Hult EF, we know how to create stimulating learning spaces – the locations are meant to inspire!
Delivered by renowned faculty and mentors
The faculty of our programs have been handpicked based on their business experience, achievements, and reputations. They work with learners on a one-on-one basis to help them hone unique skillsets and personality traits to feel empowered to spur change. They don’t just teach – they inspire and guide learners through the rigorous course material and bring it to life by sharing examples from their own experiences in different sectors.
