The Transformational Leader

The Transformational Leader is a deeply personal program for managers who have already experienced the challenges of leadership and want to grow on a professional and personal level.

Overview

Through a series of transformational experiences, you will begin your next stage of development. This innovative program is based on our latest leadership research and is run by the authors of the book Agile Leadership for Turbulent Times (Routledge, 2020), Sharon Oliver and Colin Williams. We will take you on a journey beyond the traditional cognitive learning frame to understand what has made you successful so far, what you believe is important, and where opportunities for change exist. You'll be challenged to reflect on past, present, and future leadership scenarios to unlock deep learning, fresh thinking, and new perspectives. Key themes include leading in the moment, different types of leadership intelligence, and mindfulness.

A transformational experience

The program culminates in a day spent immersed in the natural eco-system of the Ashridge forest, which provides the perfect setting for nature explorations, campfire conversations, guided meditations, peer-to-peer sharing and group work.

Is this program for you?

We recommend this program for leaders who have the desire to strengthen the effectiveness of their leadership style by increasing self-awareness and gaining confidence in thinking on their feet. We recommend participants have some experience with giving feedback, having difficult conversations, and conducting performance reviews.

Blended learning

Blended programs combine the best of live virtual and face-to-face learning. Part one of each blended program is hosted virtually and in real time. Then, you implement what you’ve learned or undertake strategic projects before coming together face-to face for part two. You'll get a deeply impactful, immersive, and intimate learning experience, meeting peers from all over the globe and interacting with world-class faculty.

This Open Program takes place online and on-site at our Hult Ashridge Campus, just 23 miles north of London. The former country house for the British royal family is set on 190 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and boasts comfortable private accommodation, an on-site bar, two restaurants, a café, a shop, pools, and a fully equipped gym.

To ensure every participant gets the absolute most out of their chosen program, we incorporate experiential learning experiences where possible, providing learners with case studies and simulations to help contextualize and enable putting the course content into practice after the program has finished.

We personalize the learning experience through psychometric assessments, coaching and reflection sessions that take place throughout the program. With our online learning platform, Leadership Live, we're able to curate learning journeys to support professional development even once the course is completed.

Before each course begins, we ask participants to complete some self assessments to identify growth areas and track progress throughout the course. After the course is completed, participants will have access to all of Leadership Live's courses, webinars, live sessions and assessments for 6 months as part of the program.
