The Challenge

BNP Paribas Fortis wanted to evolve and move away from a product-focused culture to a client-centric one and chose Ashridge to help with developing 75 global senior managers and leaders during this shift for change.

During the change process, we had to ensure the program transformed leaders and senior managers into resilient, agile problem solvers who continued to drive business growth and success – all while remaining highly engaged.

In this case study, we look at the positive impact of leadership competency upskilling during a period of organizational culture change.

The tailored in-company program was co-created based on the BNP Paribas Fortis Leadership Principles and Competencies, and Hult EF research on what great strategic leadership looks like. The program was designed to help participants master a set of four key elements of strategic leadership, together, and in the wider business context.
