Delivering best-in-class postal services

Qatar Post is the national provider of postal services across Qatar. Established in 1950, it was acquired by the State of Qatar in 1963. Since becoming an independent organization in 2001, the organisation shifted into a shareholding company with the objective of transforming postal service delivery and positioning Qatar Post as a leader in the field across the MENA region.

The Challenge

Qatar Post had recently implemented new HR performance management fundamentals and needed Hult EF's support with:

Language learning in both English and Arabic
Guidance for Qatari executives to embrace their new responsibilities and drive lasting change on a global scale
Assistance in fostering long-term organizational sustainability to support Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

In this case study, we explore how implementing the leadership program at Qatar Post led to improved performance and leadership capability within the organization.

Empowering top talent to lead, perform, and develop better

Our impact

We worked closely with Qatar Post to carry out a full capability assessment, highlighting key areas of focus for leadership development. The program began with a one-day launch event in Qatar, which continued with a mix of individual development courses and customized programs. Programs were delivered in English and Arabic with live simultaneous translation, and leaders were empowered to manage their own learning journey by self-selecting some of their studies. Participants had the opportunity to learn in a global classroom setting with fellow learners from program sessions in Doha and the Hult EF headquarters in the UK. Upon completing the program, participants reported improvements in various domains: collaborating and managing teams, delegating tasks, working with different personalities, developing and motivating others, enhancing personal skills, and discovering existing capabilities and strengths.
