A fully immersive and experiential program that condenses years of leadership experience into a few days.
It can take a decade of experience in the field for a manager to acquire the knowledge to lead an organization effectively. Thanks to insights from senior leaders who, in a critical piece of Ashridge research, answered the question “what do I know now that I wish I had known 10 years ago,” participants can speed through the leadership learning curve. At the heart of this program is the immersive simulation, allowing you to experience the critical, pivotal incidents that the research uncovered.
You will assess your readiness for significant leadership events and prepare yourself for the challenges that you are likely to encounter in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous future.
More about the program
This is an immersive and fully experiential program based on extensive and rigorous Ashridge research that draws on cardio-neuroscience on heart rate learning effectiveness zones, as well as on insights from senior leaders about the core leadership behaviors they have acquired. Participants wear a heart rate variance monitor for the duration of the sessions and receive feedback from a sports coach that allows them to better understand their physiological response to pressure. This personalized knowledge helps them hone coping strategies and assists in their personal resilience development.

Who is it for?
Senior managers and high-potential executives on a rapid career trajectory. This program is also suitable for specialists with some management experience and on a fast-track toward greater leadership responsibilities. They are looking for accelerated leadership training and a self-learning experience, and they are intrigued by the idea of a uniquely immersive simulation.
For participants with complex schedules and frequent commitments, the self-paced approach helps them navigate a full calendar and put the Open Program learnings first when it works best. This style helps participants avoid going through the motions of the course and instead focus on learning when they have the capacity to do so.
