Coaches work in complex and sensitive environments that require the use of a rare combination of skills, knowledge, personal qualities and concern for professional ethics. In today’s saturated coaching market, we believe firmly that any form of professional coaching should be undertaken by a certified, qualified coach who has access to an independent coaching supervisor.
In our new era as Hult EF Corporate Education, we are delighted to share that we’ll continue to partner with the Ashridge Centre for Coaching to guarantee that all our executive coaches are qualified to the highest possible standards. For over 30 years, our process has ensured that our coaches are fully accredited by either Ashridge Centre for Coaching or the ICF, accreditations which set the standard for the coaching profession all over the world. The Ashridge accreditation process is also validated by the EMCC. In addition, our coaches receive regular hours of coaching supervision to support their continuous professional development and their wellbeing.
This means that our coaches have been through rigorous learning, and have acquired knowledge of coaching methods which ensure the highest ethical delivery of support to the person being coached. They offer support and challenge; being ‘liked’ isn’t the aim. Trust and openness to being vulnerable enables real change to take place.
Anyone can call themselves a coach, but our research shows (and our clients continue to tell us) that the education and experience of our coaches is one of the most important factors they consider when choosing who to partner with to support their Learning & Development strategies.
We have always been committed to supporting our coaches ongoing development and access to a global network of peers. This includes access to our digital-learning platform Leadership Live, global coaching community workshops, coaching specific special-interest groups and a Global Annual Coaching Conference.
We believe that coaching is here to serve and nurture coachees and it’s our commitment that we’ll uphold this standard in our Coaching services through Ashridge Centre for Coaching and Hult EF.
